About CSJ

What started as a text thread about Court Street Steaks (RIP) turned into a Carroll Gardens blog.

Court Street Journal is a Brooklyn blog telling local stories from a broad lens. Named after Carroll Gardens' main street, CSJ publishes news, features and cartoons about New York City culture.

CSJ was created by Alexa Tietjen, a former editor at WWD, the fashion industry trade publication. Alexa lives in Carroll Gardens with her partner Lance and Bissli, their toy Goldendoodle.
